If you don’t have device insurance, things like water damage, a cracked screen, or a lost device can cause a lot of stress. Replacing your device can get really expensive, and many of us don’t budget for a broken device. The good news, however, is there’s a period of time called open enrollment.
From time to time, AT&T Protect Advantage offers open enrollment, which are limited time periods when you can sign up for a device protection plan regardless of when you purchased your phone.
Open enrollment runs July 15 – September 2, 2025. The only other time that customers can sign up for Protect Advantage is within 30 days of a new activation or device upgrade. This means that if you’ve already had your device for more than 30 days, this is another chance for you to enroll.
AT&T customers can choose between two comprehensive device protection plans – Protect Advantage for 1 and Protect Advantage for 4. Each offers the same great benefits with flexibility based on the number of devices you want to cover.
One device is enrolled under the plan. From there, you can add up to three additional devices anytime you file a claim on them. Plus, after 12 months of an approved claim, you have the flexibility to swap out the additional devices for others on your account, ensuring your coverage always matches your current tech needs.
This approach gives you the freedom to protect multiple devices over time—making it easy, flexible, and tailored just for you.
No matter which protection plan you prefer, you shouldn’t miss out on this opportunity to give yourself some peace of mind. If you’re thinking of getting a new device, consider your options to add device protection , and if you are a current AT&T customer, you can log into your myAT&T account and add device protection during the current open enrollment period.
