Upgrade your Home Internet | AT&T Fiber

We are offering you the opportunity to upgrade to our Internet 300 plan over our fiber network at no additional cost. With the range of speeds available with AT&T Fiber, you may also choose to pay more for even higher internet speeds.

If you do not schedule an upgrade appointment by the notification deadline, you are subject to having your internet service disconnected. If your service is disconnected, you may call AT&T at 866.639.6741 to schedule your fiber installation and get your internet service reconnected. Any services you have connected to the internet (including AT&T U-verse TV or AT&T digital home phone) are at risk of being interrupted if you do not upgrade to AT&T Fiber.

AT&T does not charge for installation for customers requesting an upgrade. Your current equipment charges (if any) will remain the same.

AT&T Fiber requires a technician to come to your home, even if you already have other AT&T services. Fiber services require full fiber networking, and the technician will upgrade all of your lines to be sure you have the most up-to-date fiber technology. AT&T Fiber takes from 4-6 hours to be fully installed. This includes replacing existing copper wiring with new fiber lines. This provides you with our best internet experience.

If you subscribe to AT&T Phone (VoIP) service, and/or U-verse TV, and migrate with this fiber offer, your AT&T Phone (VoIP) and U-verse TV will continue at their current price or upon your request, AT&T Phone (VoIP) and/or U-verse TV service can be disconnected.

If you currently have AT&T home phone service (landline), and migrate with this fiber offer, we encourage you to migrate from your landline phone service to AT&T Phone (VoIP) service and get a combined bill. Alternatively, you may choose to keep your AT&T landline service on a separate bill or can request for it to be disconnected.

When considering the best broadband speed for your household, you should evaluate the amount of bandwidth you will need. The suggested bandwidth will depend on the number of users, number of devices, and the activities you do on the internet.

Some internet activities perform better with faster speeds. For example, transferring large data files or streaming high-definition videos.

Other applications do not necessarily require fast internet speeds to complete. For example, sending short e-mails without attachments or basic web browsing.

The FCC recommends an internet connection greater than 25 Mbps for users with more than one device running multiple high-demand applications like streaming HD video or multiparty video conferencing.
