Samsung XCover Field Pro
I have been using a CAT phone but, the switch to 5G made that phone obsolete. This Samsung is every bit as durable, strong and stylish. Plus it comes with more memory and is easier to use.

You will be disappointed
I wanted to upgrade my s7 active and this is all I could find. It runs the same version of android as the s7 which is 2 years old already, its bigger then the s7 active, it is slippery, there are so many buttons on the frame that you will always push one when handling the phone, you can’t program the buttons so unless you pay for the PTT plan the 2 buttons are useless, you can’t deactivate them either so you will constantly get pop up message when you press the buttons and you will press the butSee more

Good Phone but has flaws

This phone isnt bad at all. when i broke my blackberry key one i was looking for another rugged phone. ive had all of the samsung galaxy active phones and they were great besides the s8 active which wasnt the greatest but this phone is basically a s7 active on steroids which i loved that phone. i love the extra battery and the charger that comes with this phone. the phone is a brick so if your dont like bulky heavy phones then this isnt the phone for you. everyone has there own preferences. NOT for everyone but most will love it

I wanted to upgrade my s7 active and this is all I could find. It runs the same version of android as the s7 which is 2 years old already, its bigger then the s7 active, it is slippery, there are so many buttons on the frame that you will always push one when handling the phone, you can’t program the buttons so unless you pay for the PTT plan the 2 buttons are useless, you can’t deactivate them either so you will constantly get pop up message when you press the buttons and you will press the buttons intentionally or not. The fingerprint sensor is next to the camera so your camera lens will always be smudged. You can’t charge it wirelessly either and no 5g. For a phone that came out in 2020 I expected better, not to mention it cost more than the S20 which runs android 10 has multiple cameras and better performance.
If you owned a s7 active you will be disappointed with this phone.

Q: what is the true waterproof capability of this phone? i currently have the 8 active which was said to be waterproof, but i would be scared to use it in the rain given feedback i have read.

If you are trying to use your AirPods a distance away from your phone, that is not an option. At this time, all headphones require a Bluetooth connection to play music.
