With the AT&T installment plan, you’ll make 36 monthly installment plan payments. When your device is paid in full, you will be eligible to upgrade to the latest iPhone. You won’t need to trade in your old smartphone, unless you’re taking advantage of a promotion that requires it. Your installment plan balance may be paid off in full at any time.

If it is, we’ll forgive the balance of that phone’s installment plan.
