BYOD stands for “bring your own device.” This is a popular choice for many customers with a prepaid account. If you have a cell phone, tablet or mobile hotspot that you already own, you can activate it with a prepaid plan if it’s compatible with AT&T and is unlocked. Check compatibility here

With AT&T Prepaid service for your phone, you get: no annual contract, no credit check, easy activation, great plans, and phone choices to fit your needs.

If your device is unlocked, most iPhones 6 and newer models work with AT&T Prepaid.

For AT&T Prepaid phones purchased from att.com and have a physical SIM, it’s as easy as turning on your new phone. The SIM is already installed and ready to go. Phones with an eSIM can be activated by following the device specific instructions on our eSIM Get Started guide. 

Yes. Bring your compatible unlocked device, including iPhones, and save on the cost of a new one. You’ll just need to purchase an AT&T Prepaid SIM card.

Buy and activate new phones individually. If you already have all your AT&T Prepaid phones set up, move to Step 2

Select "Add a Line" within myAT&T

Follow the prompts to invite member lines

Enroll in AutoPay and pay for all lines

All PREPAID customers can take advantage of the convenience of AutoPay. Plus, customers enrolled in a PREPAID Unlimited plan with AutoPay also receive a monthly discount.

Both PREPAID Unlimited plans offer a monthly discount when you enroll in AutoPay. Some older monthly plans have discounts too, you can see them by signing in to att.com/myprepaid.
