Getting started

  • Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a PC, or using a favorite application, prior to upgrading the software.

Update & verify software

To update the software
  1. Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to the AT&T data network.
  2. Swipe down from the Notification bar and tap the Settings icon.
  3. Swipe to the System tab and tap About device.
  4. Tap Software Update > Update Now.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  6. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

To verify the software update
  1. Swipe down from the Notification bar and tap the Settings icon.
  2. Swipe to the System tab and tap About device.
  3. The device has the latest software if the Android version, Baseband version, and Build number match the current update details.
