Getting started

You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA).
Connect your device to Wi-Fi or the AT&T data network to download the update.
Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a PC, or using a favorite application, prior to upgrading the software.
In order to install the latest software update, your device must be on build number M7UUAU1. If not, follow the update process below until you install build number M7UUAU1, and then you will be able to install the latest software update.

To update the software

Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi or the AT&T data network.
Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers, then tap the Settings icon.
Tap AT&T Software Update > Check for updates.
Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

To verify the software update

Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers, then tap the Settings icon.
Tap About phone.
The device has the latest software if the Android version, Baseband version, and Build number match the current update details.

To troubleshoot the software update

Visit Troubleshoot & Resolve to fix software update issues.
After installing the software update, visit Troubleshoot & Resolve to fix any additional issues with your device or services.
