Update software

  1. Make sure your device is sufficiently charged and connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. From the device home screen, pull down the notification shade and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to the System category and tap About device.
  4. Tap Software update > Check for updates.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  6. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs. 

Verify software update

  1. From the device home screen, pull down the notification shade and tap Settings.
  2. Scroll to the System category and tap About device.
  3. The device has the latest software if the Software version, Baseband version and Build number match the current update details.
