- You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA).Â
- You must connect your device to Wi-Fi to download the update.
- Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, computer, or using a favorite application, prior to upgrading the software.
- Update & verify software
Update software
- Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to the AT&T Network.
- Select Menu and tap Settings.
- Tap Device.
- Tap Device Information.
- Tap AT&T Software Update.
- Tap Check for Update.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
- The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.
Verify software update
- Select Menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Device.
- Tap Device Information.
- Tap More Information.
- The OS Version will be displayed. Press the up or down directional buttons to view the Build number.
- If the OS version and Build number don’t match the current update perform additional updates until they do.
Troubleshoot software update
- Visit Troubleshoot & Resolve to fix software update issues.
- After installing the software update, visit Troubleshoot & Resolve to fix any additional issues with your device or services.
