Getting started

  • You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA).
  • A Wi-Fi connection isn’t required to download the update.
  • Downloading the update on AT&T’s wireless data network will not count against your data plan usage.

Update & verify software

To update the software
  1. Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to the AT&T data network.
  2. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the main menu. 
  3. Use the navigation keys to select Settings, then press the OK key. 
  4. Use the navigation keys to select System, then press the OK key.
  5. Use the navigation keys to select About phone, then press the OK key.
  6. Use the navigation keys to select AT&T Software Update, then press the OK key.
  7. Use the navigation keys to select Check for Updates, then press the OK key.
  8. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  9. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

To verify the update
  1. From the Home screen, press the OK key to access the main menu. 
  2. Use the navigation keys to select Settings, then press the OK key. 
  3. Use the navigation keys to select System, then press the OK key.
  4. Use the navigation keys to select About phone, then press the OK key.
  5. Scroll down to view the Software version. The device has the latest version if the Software version matches the current update details.
