Getting started

  1. You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA). 
  2. The download will not count against your data bucket.
  3. Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up all your media files to an SD card or a PC prior to upgrading the software.

Update & verify software

To update the software
  1. Make sure your device is sufficiently charged and connected to the AT&T network.
  2. From the device home screen, select Menu > Settings > Phone Mode > Advanced Mode.
  3. Return to the device home screen and select Menu > Settings > AT&T Software Update > Check for update.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  5. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

To verify the update
  1. From the device home screen, select Menu > Settings > Phone information.
  2. The device has the latest software if the Software and Baseband versions match the current update details.
